I’m an Oregon native, having been born and raised in Eugene. After graduating college in California in 1979, I began my automotive career in Roseburg, Oregon, working in every department at the local Ford dealership. Since that early beginning, I’ve operated several multi-franchise new car dealerships, both in Roseburg and Bend. In 1996, I decided to leave the retail automobile business and started my own wholesale business, Deschutes Auto Wholesale, in Bend, Oregon. In 1999, I was privileged to co-found Auto Network Group Northwest, Inc. Since that September in 1999, our brokers have collectively bought and sold thousands of cars, trucks, SUVs, boats and RVs, of all makes and models, to businesses and consumers world-wide.

I’ve been married to the same wonderful woman for 25+ years and I am still amazed she puts up with me. We have six children between us, and 7 grandchildren with more on the way…Grandkids, NOT kids! Living in Bend is an outdoor enthusiast’s heaven. I enjoy skiing, golfing, cycling and pickle-ball.

When the marketing genius's said, "Pat we need everyone to do a bio for the website," it really put my brain to work. So much so that it took me two months to even start it. I really didn't want my bio to sound like, "Wow, look at all the stuff I have done!" So here is what I settled on. I married my high school sweetheart over 31 years ago. We raised two great kids and were blessed to help put them through college. Better yet, they will both be gainfully employed through the vocations they chose. I would rather be at Cultus Lake on our boat soaking up the sunshine on a nice summer day than doing anything else. As for work, I sold my first new car before I had my first legal beer. So needless to say, I have been in the car business a long time. And I love it! I have worked at franchise stores selling Porsche, Audi, BMW, VW, Ford, GMC, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Nissan and Mazda. Heck, looks like I even outlasted two of those brands. Over 18 years ago my partner Jim Bruce, myself, and others started Auto Network. In the beginning, we were a wholesale only company. Meaning that we just sold to dealers. Doing this enabled me to meet great people from all walks of life in our industry. It also gave me a tremendous amount of contacts. This is why I rarely buy anything at auctions. This network of people enables me to purchase what I want and what I like. Confucius said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life." I guess I have had a lot time off. I’m a broker with the Auto Network Group as well as the owner of RV Sales of Bend Oregon, LLC. And I am extremely passionate about the RV industry!

My experience comes from the many years, spent helping my clients and friends live out their RV dreams! I began in the RV industry, right out of high school in the quaint town of Langley on Whidbey Island in Washington state. I entered the industry as a “lot boy”, excelled in my position and was promoted to RV sales. I am an native Oregonian, originally from the valley then moved to Bend in 2011. I am a father of three amazing kids. I have been an automotive connoisseur since my youth, where I became a parts manager at a local parts store and then moved onto Volvo and BMW franchise dealerships working primarily in parts and service. I opened my own dealership (Mt Hood Motorsports of Portland) in 1998. We specialized in primarily Volvo, sales parts and service. In 2012, I opened Specialty Motorsports of Bend, specializing in luxury & performance vehicles. I have always had a love for European vehicles. I came to ANG NW as a broker in 2016. This has been a perfect fit for my skills and abilities. I really enjoy the team that we have here and the love we share for fine autos. I spend many evenings fabricating and building custom cars at my home shop. When I am not at work or in my home shop, you can find me enjoying our amazing Central Oregon outdoors, hiking, fishing, kayaking, or mountain biking with my family.
